Any person falling into one or more of the following categories is designated as a suspect:

1. (1) Persons identified as sexual contacts of a sexually transmitted disease case;
2. (2) Persons having positive laboratory or clinical findings of sexually transmitted disease; and
3. (3) Persons in whom epidemiologic evidence indicates a sexually transmitted disease may exist.
