1. (1) Except as provided in sub. (2), no person may sell or move a sheep within this state unless that sheep bears an official individual identification.

2. (2) Subsection (1) does not apply to any of the following:

   1. (a) A neutered sheep under 12 months old.
   2. (b) A sheep under 12 months old that is shipped directly to a slaughtering establishment for slaughter.
