- (1) Maintenance for living expenses may be provided only when these expenses are short-term in duration, in excess of the normal subsistence expenses of a participant, and only when necessary for the individual to participate in services under an individualized plan for employment. Maintenance includes monetary support for food, shelter, clothing and other subsistence items.
- (2) Maintenance shall be provided only after consideration of comparable services and benefits in accordance with WAC 67-25-283.
- (3) Individuals with emergency needs for shelter, food, financial support, etc. will be referred to community sources that may provide these services.
