The school principal or a member of the staff appointed by the principal shall supervise the school patrol. Criteria for the selection of a school patrol supervisor shall include:

1. (1) Interest in safety.
2. (2) Ability to organize, lead and discipline.
3. (3) Ability to recognize individual differences.
4. (4) Dependability.
