Wash. Admin. Code § 388-891A-1161 – Are there forms of financial assistance that I am required to apply for or access before DVR will assist with the cost of attendance at my institution of higher education?

(1) Before DVR may assist with the cost of attendance at an institution of higher education, DVR requires you to:
1. (a) Complete a free application for federal student aid (FAFSA); and
2. (b) Use all available need-based gift aid toward your cost of attendance.
(2) DVR does not require you to:
1. (a) Apply for academic awards and scholarships based on merit as comparable benefits; or
2. (b) Accept any available student loans.
