1. (1) If auditors are given timely access to a ICF/ID facility and to all records necessary to conducting their audit, DSHS must complete an audit within one year:

   1. (a) Of receiving a properly completed annual cost report; or
   2. (b) After the facility is notified it has been selected for an audit.
2. (2) For a state ICF/ID, DSHS must complete a field audit within three years after a properly completed cost report is received if auditors are given timely access to the facility and all records necessary to conducting their audit.
