If an assisted living facility allows pets to live on the premises, the assisted living facility must:

1. (1) Develop, implement and disclose to potential and current residents, policies regarding:

   1. (a) The types of pets that are permitted in the assisted living facility; and
   2. (b) The conditions under which pets may be in the assisted living facility.

2. (2) Ensure animals living on the assisted living facility premises:

   1. (a) Have regular examinations and immunizations, appropriate for the species, by a veterinarian licensed in Washington state;
   2. (b) Are certified by a veterinarian to be free of diseases transmittable to humans;
   3. (c) Are restricted from central food preparation areas.
