- (1) After you request a hearing, the OAH sends the parties a notice containing the hearing date, time, and place. This document is called the notice of hearing. The parties may also receive a written notice of a prehearing conference. You may receive a notice of a prehearing conference either before or after receiving the notice of the hearing.
(2) Before your hearing is held:
- (a) The department may contact you and try to resolve your dispute; and
- (b) You are encouraged to contact the department and try to resolve your dispute.
- (3) If you do not appear for your hearing, an ALJ may enter an order of default or an order dismissing your hearing according to WAC 388-02-0285.
