1. (1) You must retrain employees to reestablish proficiency if you believe they lack the skill or understanding to safely erect, use, or dismantle a scaffold.

2. (2) You must retraining is required in at least the following situations:

   1. (a) An employee's work involving scaffolds is inadequate and indicates they lack the necessary proficiency.

   2. (b) A change in any of the following that presents a hazard the employee has not been trained for:

      1. (i) Worksite;
      2. (ii) Type of scaffold;
      3. (iii) Fall protection;
      4. (iv) Falling object protection;
      5. (v) Other equipment.
