1. (1) You must have a qualified person train each employee who works on a scaffold to:

   1. (a) Recognize the hazards associated with the type of scaffold they are using; and
   2. (b) Understand the procedures to control or minimize the hazards.

2. (2) You must include the following subjects in your training:

   1. (a) Hazards in the work area and how to deal with them, including:

      1. (i) Electrical hazards;
      2. (ii) Fall hazards;
      3. (iii) Falling object hazards;
      4. (iv) How to erect, maintain, and disassemble the fall protection and falling object protection systems being used.

   2. (b) How to:

      1. (i) Use the scaffold;
      2. (ii) Handle materials on the scaffold.
   3. (c) The load-carrying capacity and maximum intended load of the scaffold.
   4. (d) Any other requirements of this chapter that apply.
