1. (1) The department inspects the electrical worksites of individuals, employers, and employees with respect to the methods and installation requirements of chapter 19.28 RCW and this chapter. The department's electrical inspectors and electrical auditors make electrical work inspections. The department's electrical inspectors/auditors verify that all required electrical work permits or labels are obtained prior to beginning any electrical work which requires an inspection. The department's electrical inspectors, electrical auditors, and compliance officers make electrical licensing/certification inspections.

2. (2) The department ensures that individuals, employers, and employees comply with the electrical licensing and certification requirements of chapter 19.28 RCW and this chapter. To do this, inspections are made by the department's electrical inspectors/auditors and compliance officers.

   1. (a) Each person or entity advertising to do electrical work or doing electrical work on an electrical worksite has a proper license or certificate;
   2. (b) The ratio, per RCW 19.28.161, of certified journey level/specialty electricians to the certified trainees on the job site is correct; and
   3. (c) Each certified trainee is directly supervised by an individual who possesses an appropriate certificate of competency for the type of electrical work being performed.
