1. (1) A structural assembly or subassembly tested for qualification must sustain the design dead load plus the superimposed design live loads (see WAC 296-150C-0840) equal to 1.75 times the required live loads for a period of twelve hours without failure of the assembly or subassembly, unless otherwise specified in this chapter.
2. (2) An assembly or subassembly failure is defined as a rupture, fracture, or residual deflection which is greater than the limits set in WAC 296-150C-0920. The type and quality of material used in each test assembly or subassembly must be identified. The assembly or subassembly tested must represent the minimum quality of material.
3. (3) (a) Nationally recognized standards or engineering practices must be used for structural load tests for commercial coaches.

4. (b) Tests must be witnessed by a professional engineer or architect.
