When reporting the final method of claim disposition under RCW 48.140.030(9), reporting entities must describe the method of claim disposition using one of the descriptions listed below:

1. (1) Claim abandoned by claimant.
2. (2) Claim settled by the parties.

3. (3) Claim is disposed of by a court when the court issues a:

   1. (a) Directed verdict for plaintiff:
   2. (b) Directed verdict for defendant;
   3. (c) Judgment notwithstanding verdict for plaintiff (judgment for defendant);
   4. (d) Judgment notwithstanding verdict for defendant (judgment for plaintiff);
   5. (e) Involuntary dismissal;
   6. (f) Judgment for plaintiff;
   7. (g) Judgment for defendant;
   8. (h) Judgment for plaintiff after appeal; or
   9. (i) Judgment for defendant after appeal.

4. (4) Claim settled by alternative dispute resolution process, whether resolved by:

   1. (a) Arbitration award for plaintiff;
   2. (b) Arbitration for defense;
   3. (c) Mediation;
   4. (d) Private trial; or
   5. (e) Other type of alternative dispute resolution process.
