1. (1) An approved continuing education provider can submit a request for course and credit approval of a designation program course if the course is directly and specifically related to insurance, or if part of the course is directly and specifically related to insurance. With the request, the provider must submit the documents specified in WAC 284-17-278 and must include:

   1. (a) The name of the designation program with a description of the program requirements; and
   2. (b) If the continuing education provider does not use multiple choice examination questions, the provider must give an explanation of the testing method with samples of the exam questions;
   3. (c) The continuing education provider must indicate the number of exam questions and the score that the licensee will need to achieve in order to pass the exam.
2. (2) The commissioner will assign continuing education credit hours as specified in WAC 284-17-286.
