1. (1) Notwithstanding other provisions of these rules, refunds of the entire pool will be made on:

   1. (a) Win pools, exacta pools, and first-half double pools, offered in races in which the number of betting interests has been reduced to fewer than two.
   2. (b) Place pools and quinella pools, trifecta pools and first-half twin trifecta pools, offered in races in which the number of betting interests has been reduced to fewer than three.
   3. (c) Show pools, superfecta pools offered in races in which the number of betting interests has been reduced to fewer than four.
2. (2) Authorized refunds will be paid when the parimutuel ticket is presented and surrendered.
