The paddock plater is responsible for the following duties:

1. (1) Be available during race hours to perform emergency shoeing repairs on horses in the receiving barn, paddock, or during post parade;
2. (2) When directed by the board of stewards, inspect the height of toe grabs, or type of shoes on all horses, either in the receiving barn or paddock.
