1. (1) Licensed optometrists must have direct access on the premises to the following equipment and accessories, all of which must be in working condition:

   1. (a) Adjustable examining chair;
   2. (b) Phoropter/refractor;
   3. (c) Retinoscope;
   4. (d) Ophthalmoscope;
   5. (e) Pupillary distance measuring device;
   6. (f) Projector and screen; or illuminated test cabinet, or chart for distant vision testing;
   7. (g) Nearpoint vision testing equipment;
   8. (h) Lensometer;
   9. (i) Tonometer;
   10. (j) Biomicroscope/slit lamp;
   11. (k) A clinically accepted visual field testing instrument or equipment.

2. (2) Licensed optometrists who prescribe contact lenses must have direct access on the premises to the following equipment, all of which must be in working condition:

   1. (a) Diameter gauge;
   2. (b) Thickness gauge;
   3. (c) Cobalt or black light instrument;
   4. (d) Radiuscope/contactogauge type measuring instrument;
   5. (e) Thickness tables;
   6. (f) Corneal measurement instrument that quantifies corneal curvature.
