A licensed denturist shall comply with state medical records and health care information access and disclosure requirements in chapter 70.02 RCW and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, 45 C.F.R. Sections 160, 162 and 164 destruction and privacy regulations.

A licensed denturist:

1. (1) Who treats patients eighteen years old and older shall keep readily accessible patient records for at least six years from the date of the last treatment;
2. (2) Who treats patients under the age of eighteen years old shall keep readily accessible patient records for at least six years after the patient reaches eighteen years old; and
3. (3) Shall respond to a written request from a patient to examine or copy that patient's record within fifteen working days after receipt of the request.
