A hospice care center applicant or licensee must:

1. (1) Provide bulk and general supply storage constructed to control pests and prevent spoilage, contamination, damage, and corrosion of goods including:

   1. (a) Protection against inclement weather;
   2. (b) Secured spaces with appropriate environmental conditions in accordance with federal and state laws and rules on supplies and medication storage if pharmaceuticals are stored; and
   3. (c) Off-floor storage when required to prevent contamination and water damage to stores.

2. (2) Provide receiving and unloading area with:

   1. (a) Administrative work space;
   2. (b) Security and protection for supplies; and
   3. (c) Location to prevent vehicle exhaust from entering the hospice care center.

3. (3) Provide storage if needed for:

   1. (a) Flammable and combustible liquid storage;
   2. (b) Laboratory chemicals;
   3. (c) Medical compressed gases;
   4. (d) Gaseous oxidizing materials;
   5. (e) Pesticides, cleaning compounds, and toxic substances; and
   6. (f) Mobile housekeeping equipment.
