1. (1) Pharmaceutical services area(s) must be accessible only to authorized personnel.

2. (2) A hospice care center must provide pharmacy services area(s) consistent with chapter 246-945 WAC which include adequate space for:

   1. (a) A work counter;
   2. (b) A handwash sink;
   3. (c) A soap and paper towel dispenser;

   4. (d) Drug storage units constructed of metal, solid wood, or plywood which provide:

      1. (i) Locked storage for all drugs;
      2. (ii) Separate keyed storage for Schedule II through IV controlled substances;
      3. (iii) Segregated storage for each patient's drugs;
   5. (e) A lockable refrigerator for storage of heat sensitive drugs; and
   6. (f) Other storage needed according to the hospice care center's functional program.
