The definitions in this chapter apply throughout the title unless the context clearly requires otherwise.

1. (1) "Commission" means the Washington citizens' commission on salaries for elected officials. Where appropriate, the term "commission" also refers to the staff and employees of the commission.
2. (2) "Agency" means the Washington citizens' commission on salaries for elected officials. Where appropriate, the term "agency" also refers to the staff and employees of the commission.
3. (3) "Chair" means the chair of the commission.
4. (4) "Vice chair" means the vice chair of the commission.
5. (5) "Executive director" means the executive director of the commission.
6. (6) "Members" means the appointed members of the commission.

7. (7) As used in this chapter:

   1. (a) Citations to state statutes and regulations include such laws as now or hereafter amended.
   2. (b) The singular shall take the plural and either gender, the other, as the context requires.
