1. (1) Presence of operators. While a UST facility is manned, UST system owners and operators must ensure at least one of the individuals manning the facility is a properly trained Class A, Class B, or Class C operator.

2. (2) Signage. At each UST facility, UST system owners and operators must post and maintain signage providing emergency response information. The signage must:

   1. (a) Be posted in prominent areas of the facility that are easily visible to individuals who dispense or deliver regulated substances;
   2. (b) Identify the location of fire extinguishers and any emergency shut-off devices at the facility; and

   3. (c) Provide instructions on what to do in case of an emergency at the facility. At a minimum, the instructions must include the following or equivalent wording:

      (Name and address of facility)

      IN CASE OF FIRE, SPILL OR RELEASE

      (Insert if applicable: Use emergency shut off)

      Call the fire department: (911 or local fire department telephone number)

      Call the facility operator: (24-hour telephone number)
