1. (1) The office must determine if a public record requested is exempt from disclosure, in whole or in part, under chapter 42.56 RCW or other applicable law.
2. (2) If an entire record is exempt from disclosure it will be withheld. For each record withheld, the public records officer will identify the record, note the applicable exemption and give a brief explanation for each exemption. If only parts of a record are exempt from disclosure, the public records officer will redact the exempt parts, note the applicable exemptions, and give a brief explanation for each exemption.
3. (3) The office is prohibited by statute from disclosing lists of individuals for commercial purposes under RCW 42.56.070(8).
