RCW 77.95.020 — Long-term regional policy statements.

1. (1) The commission shall develop long-term regional policy statements regarding the salmon fishery resources before December 1, 1985. The commission shall consider the following in formulating and updating regional policy statements:

   1. (a) Existing resource needs;
   2. (b) Potential for creation of new resources;
   3. (c) Successful existing programs, both within and outside the state;
   4. (d) Balanced utilization of natural and hatchery production;
   5. (e) Desires of the fishing interest;
   6. (f) Need for additional data or research;
   7. (g) Federal court orders; and
   8. (h) Salmon advisory council recommendations.
2. (2) The commission shall review and update each policy statement at least once each year.
