RCW 70.175.110 — Licensure—Rules—Duties of department.

In developing the rural health care facility licensure regulations, the department shall:

1. (1) Minimize regulatory requirements to permit local flexibility and innovation in providing services;
2. (2) Promote the cost-efficient delivery of health care and other social services as is appropriate for the particular local community;
3. (3) Promote the delivery of services in a coordinated and nonduplicative manner;
4. (4) Maximize the use of existing health care facilities in the community;
5. (5) Permit regionalization of health care services when appropriate;
6. (6) Provide for linkages with hospitals, tertiary care centers, and other health care facilities to provide services not available in the facility; and
7. (7) Achieve health care outcomes defined by the community through a community planning process.
