RCW 69.50.205 — Schedule II tests.

1. (a) [(1)] The commission shall place a substance in Schedule II upon finding that:
2. (1) [(a)] the substance has high potential for abuse;
3. (2) [(b)] the substance has currently accepted medical use in treatment in the United States, or currently accepted medical use with severe restrictions; and
4. (3) [(c)] the abuse of the substance may lead to severe psychological or physical dependence.
5. (b) [(2)] The commission may place a substance in Schedule II without making the findings required by subsection (a) [(1)] of this section if the substance is controlled under Schedule II of the federal Controlled Substances Act by a federal agency as the result of an international treaty, convention, or protocol.
