1. A. The emergency evacuation procedures shall be practiced monthly with all caregivers and children in care during all shifts that children are in care.
2. B. Shelter-in-place procedures shall be practiced a minimum of twice per year.

3. C. Documentation shall be maintained of emergency evacuation and shelter-in-place drills that includes:

   1. 1. Identity of the person conducting the drill;
   2. 2. The date and time of the drill;
   3. 3. The method used for notification of the drill;
   4. 4. The number of caregivers participating;
   5. 5. The number of children participating;
   6. 6. Any special conditions simulated;
   7. 7. The time it took to complete the drill;
   8. 8. Problems encountered, if any; and
   9. 9. For emergency evacuation drills only, weather conditions.
4. D. Records of emergency evacuation and shelter-in-place drills shall be maintained for one year.
