1. A. For each group of children, the center shall maintain a written record of daily attendance that documents the arrival and departure of each child in care as it occurs.

2. B. Reports shall be filed and maintained as follows:

   1. 1. The center shall inform the superintendent's representative as soon as practicable but not to exceed one business day of the circumstances surrounding the following incidents:

      1. a. Death of a child while under the center's supervision;
      2. b. Missing child when local authorities have been contacted for help; or
      3. c. The suspension or termination of all child care services for more than 24 hours as a result of an emergency situation and any plans to resume child care.
   2. 2. The center shall inform the department's representative as soon as practicable, but not to exceed two business days, of any injury to a child that occurs while the child is under the supervision of the center and requires outside medical attention.
   3. 3. Any suspected incident of child abuse shall be reported in accordance with § 63.2-1509 of the Code of Virginia.
