1. A. Each person registered with the department as a special conservator of the peace by the department shall complete the compulsory in-service training standard once during each 12-month period of registration. In-service training must be completed within 12 months prior to the expiration date.

2. B. The in-service training hour requirement by category, excluding examinations, practical exercises and range qualification, shall be as follows:

   1. 1. Special conservators of the peace – 8 hours
   2. 2. Firearms requalification, if applicable.

3. C. The in-service training course content by category, for special conservator of the peace excluding examinations, practical exercises and range qualification shall be as follows:

   1. 1. Legal authority – 4 hours

   2. 2. Job-related training – 4 hours

      Total hours – 8 hours
