When ignition interlock devices are required.

Effective Jan 1, 2010Virginia Register Volume 26, Issue 5§ 18.2-270.2 of the Code of Virginia.Commission On The Virginia Alcohol Safety Action Program

1. When ordered by a court of proper jurisdiction pursuant to § 18.2-270.1 of the Code of Virginia; or
2. When administratively enforced by DMV pursuant to § 46.2-391.01 of the Code of Virginia.
