1. 1. Designation and responsibilities of an Area Agency on Aging;
2. 2. Development and implementation of an Area Plan for Aging Services;
3. 3. Administration of grants and contracts from the Virginia Department for Aging and Rehabilitative Services; and
4. 4. Operation of substate long-term care ombudsman programs.

This chapter prescribes requirements which Area Agencies on Aging shall meet to receive federal and state funds to develop comprehensive and coordinated systems for the delivery of supportive and nutrition services under Title III of the Older Americans Act, as amended (42 USC § 3001 et seq.).
