1. A. Schools seeking approval of courses must file a request with the board. The request must include the following information:

   1. 1. Name and address of the school.
   2. 2. Locations where classes will be held.
   3. 3. Length of the course and total number of hours of instruction, including a minimum of 80 hours of classroom studies and active participation in the auction business.

   4. 4. Subjects covered together with number of instruction hours assigned. Course study must include:

      1. a. Auctioneering;
      2. b. Elementary principals of real estate, including brokerage;
      3. c. Contracts;
      4. d. Advertising;
      5. e. Sale preparation;
      6. f. Bid calling;
      7. g. Settlement statements;
      8. h. Ethics; and
      9. i. Current rules and regulations of the Auctioneers Board.
   5. 5. Names of Virginia licensed auctioneer instructors and confirmation of participation in the various aspects of a minimum of 50 auctions.
2. B. Any change in the information provided by the school to the board must be reported to the board in writing within 30 days of such an occurrence.
3. C. Approval is subject to periodic requalification review as determined by the board.
