1. A. The commissioner or department may require the owner to install, use, and maintain monitoring equipment for the control and testing of water flowing through the water treatment plant to:

   1. 1. Identify and determine the cause of operational problems;
   2. 2. Determine the necessary corrective actions for these problems;
   3. 3. Ensure compliance with Part II of this chapter; and
   4. 4. Prepare the finished water for entry into the distribution system.
2. B. Sampling and testing shall be by methods approved by the department. Test results shall be recorded, compiled, and reported to the department in an acceptable manner and format.
