12 Va. Admin. Code § 5-421-2820

Floors, walls, and ceilings, utility lines.

Effective Oct 16, 2007Virginia Register Volume 24, Issue 2§§ 35.1-11 and 35.1-14 of the Code of Virginia.Department of Health

A. Utility service lines and pipes shall not be unnecessarily exposed.
B. Exposed utility service lines and pipes shall be installed so they do not obstruct or prevent cleaning of the floors, walls, or ceilings.
C. Exposed horizontal utility service lines and pipes shall not be installed on the floor.
