As used in this part:

1. (1) "Conviction" means:

   1. (a) a verdict or conviction;
   2. (b) a plea of guilty or guilty with a mental condition;
   3. (c) a plea of no contest; or
   4. (d) the acceptance by the court of a plea in abeyance.
2. (2) "Immediate family" means the same as that term is defined in Section 76-5-106.5.
