§ 78B-6-2104

Utah Code Ann. § 78B-6-2104

Damages -- Class action.

Effective May 12, 2020Amended by Chapter 442, 2020 General Session

  1. (1) If a court finds that a person is violating Section 78B-6-2103, the court may award the plaintiff:

    1. (a) actual damages; and
    2. (b) punitive damages, if it is proven that the person targeted minors.
  2. (2) A class action may be brought under this part in accordance with Utah Rules of Civil Procedure, Rule 23.
