Utah Code Ann. § 76-18-205 – Unlawful alteration or removal of a controlled substance label.

(1) Terms defined in Sections 58-37-101, 76-1-101.5, 76-18-101, and 76-18-201 apply to this section.
(2) An actor commits unlawful alteration or removal of a controlled substance label if:
1. (a) the actor:
  1. (i) alters the face of a label on a container containing a controlled substance; or
  2. (ii) removes a label on a container containing a controlled substance; and
2. (b) any of the original contents of the container described in Subsection (2)(a) remain.
(3) A violation of Subsection (2) is a class B misdemeanor.
