(1)
- (a) The office shall immediately notify the claimant in writing of a compensation award and shall forward to the Division of Finance a certified copy of the compensation award and a warrant request for the amount of the compensation award.
- (b) The Division of Finance shall pay the claimant the amount submitted to the division, out of the fund.
- (c) If money in the fund is temporarily depleted, the office shall place claimants approved to receive a compensation award on a waiting list and provide the compensation awards as funds are available in the order in which the compensation awards are approved.
- (2) The compensation specialist may suspend the proceedings pending disposition of a criminal prosecution that is commenced or is imminent.
