Utah Code Ann. § 75E-2-102

Creation of department.

Effective Jul 1, 2026Enacted by Chapter 291, 2026 General Session

(1) There is created within state government the Department of Criminal Justice.
(2) The department has all of the policymaking functions, regulatory and enforcement powers, rights, duties, and responsibilities described in this title.
