1. (1)

   1. (a) Each day an owner-operator operates an amusement ride for use by the general public, the owner-operator or the owner-operator's designee shall inspect and operate the amusement ride in accordance with this section and rules established under this chapter.

   2. (b) The owner-operator or the owner-operator's designee shall complete the inspection and operation described in Subsection (1)(a):

      1. (i) before the owner-operator begins operation for use by the general public; and
      2. (ii) in accordance with rule made under this chapter.

2. (2) The owner-operator shall:

   1. (a) make a record of each daily inspection that is signed by the individual who performed the inspection; and
   2. (b) maintain each record described in Subsection (2)(a) for at least one year after the day on which the inspection is performed.
