1. (1) Except as otherwise provided in this chapter, a license is required to engage in an act regulated under this chapter.

2. (2) The division shall issue to a person that qualifies under this chapter, a license in the following classifications:

   1. (a) private investigator agent;
   2. (b) private investigator registrant; or
   3. (c) private investigator apprentice.
