1. (1) An LEA shall:

   1. (a) establish written policies and procedures for attendance tracking, intervention, and enforcement that comply with state law;
   2. (b) train all relevant staff on attendance policies and procedures annually;
   3. (c) ensure consistent implementation of attendance policies across all schools within the LEA; and
   4. (d) provide clear communication to parents and students regarding attendance expectations and consequences.

2. (2) An LEA governing board shall:

   1. (a) review relevant attendance data;
   2. (b) evaluate the effectiveness of attendance interventions annually;
   3. (c) ensure adequate resources are allocated for attendance monitoring and intervention programs; and
   4. (d) approve any changes to attendance policies in a public meeting.
