1. (1) The purpose of this chapter is to provide long-term disability benefits for an eligible employee.
2. (2) Subject to the provisions of Section 49-21-201, the program may include one or more long-term disability benefit plans that differ from the benefit plan specified by this chapter for an eligible employee of a covered employer as defined under Section 49-20-102.
3. (3) The program shall be administered by the office, under policies and rules adopted by the board.
