Utah Code Ann. § 4-9-118 – Registration of commercial establishments using weights and measures.

(1) determine whether weights and measures are correct through:
1. (a) inspection and testing by a department employee; or
2. (b) acceptance of an inspection and testing report prepared by a registered weights and measures service person;
(2) establish standards and qualifications for a registered weights and measures service person; and
(3) determine the form and content of an inspection and testing report.
