(1) Under the direction of the Utah Behavioral Health Commission created in Section 26B-5-702, the Utah Behavioral Health Policy Review Committee shall:
- (a) coordinate recommendations made by any subcommittee created under Section 26B-5-802;
- (b) analyze and provide an objective assessment of all proposed legislation concerning substance use, mental health, forensic mental health, and related issues; and
- (c) advise the commission on behavioral health policy, proposed legislation, and procedures.
- (2) The committee shall meet quarterly or more frequently as determined necessary by the chair.
- (3) The committee shall report any recommendations annually to the commission, the governor, and the Legislature.
