1. (1) The department may only issue a standing prescription drug order if the prescription:

   1. (a) is limited to a clearly defined clinical indication;
   2. (b) is for a diagnosis for which the medication has been approved by the federal Food and Drug Administration; and
   3. (c) is clinically appropriate.
