1. (1) A municipal legislative body that cancels an election under Section 20A-1-206 shall provide notice that the election is canceled by complying with Subsection (2):

   1. (a) no earlier than the day after the deadline, described in Subsection 20A-9-601(1)(a), for a write-in candidate to file a declaration of candidacy for the municipal general election; and
   2. (b) no later than 32 calendar days before the day of the municipal general election.

2. (2) A municipal legislative body described in Subsection (1) shall provide notice that the election is canceled by:

   1. (a) sending notice to each county where all or a portion of the municipality is located;
   2. (b) sending the notice to the lieutenant governor's office to be posted on the Statewide Electronic Voter Information Website described in Section 20A-7-801, for at least 15 calendar days before the day of the municipal general election; and
   3. (c) publishing notice for the municipality, as a class A notice under Section 63G-30-102, for at least 15 calendar days before the day of the municipal general election.
