1. (1) In addition to any fees authorized by Title 17B, Chapter 1, Provisions Applicable to All Special Districts, a public infrastructure district may charge a fee for an administrative service that the public infrastructure district provides, to pay some or all of the public infrastructure district's:

   1. (a) costs of acquiring, improving, or extending improvements, facilities, or property; or
   2. (b) costs associated with the enforcement of a legal remedy.
2. (2) The board of a public infrastructure district shall establish fees by a fee schedule in ordinance or resolution.
