(1) Except as provided in Subsection (2), each county surveyor shall:
- (a) provide all maps necessary for the county or any county officer; and
- (b) file those maps and all data the county surveyor obtains from other sources in the county surveyor's office.
- (2) Subsection (1) does not apply to an ownership plat that the county recorder is required under Section 17-71-303 to prepare and keep.
