1. (1) The Department will recruit and train volunteers to serve as mentors for parent clients. The Department may elect to contract for the recruitment and training of the volunteers.

2. (2) A mentor may advocate on behalf of a parent client and help a parent client:

   1. (a) develop life skills;
   2. (b) implement an employment plan; or

   3. (c) obtain services and support from:

      1. (i) the volunteer mentor;
      2. (ii) the Department; or
      3. (iii) civic organizations.
